Raymond S. Grimm, Esq.
Attended Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, graduating with Honors in 1984. He attended law school at Seattle University School of Law, graduating in 1991. He began his practice in Washington State, practicing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, estate planning, guardianships, serving as a guardian ad litem, and appellate practice. He has also been a deputy prosecuting attorney in a rural county in Washington State.
Since relocating to Sarasota County, Florida in 2001, Mr. Grimm has continued to practice in the areas of family law, estate planning, guardianships, criminal defense, civil litigation, and appellate practice.
Mr. Grimm is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying backpacking, hiking, kayaking, bicycling and hunting. He is also a musician; you may see him playing the blues in local clubs from Ft. Myers to Bradenton. He also builds furniture for the fun of it. He has an Airedale terrier named Stella Blue who serves as office mascot.
Elicia Black, Paralegal.
Is a native Floridian. She was born in Sarasota, Florida and has lived in North Port for the majority of her life. After graduating from Venice High School and then taking time to have a family, she went back to college to study in the legal field at the State College of Florida.
During her studies she was a constant presence on the Dean’s List and the President’s list for academic achievement. Elicia was also a member of Lambda Epsilon Chi, the National Honors society in Paralegal Legal Assisting and Phi Theta Kappa, the National Honors Society. She graduated from the State College of Florida with a degree in Paralegal/ Legal Assisting in 2013 and was honored at the State College of Florida 2013 Honors Convocation as Outstanding Associates Arts Student in Paralegal Legal Assisting.
Elicia has been registered with the Florida Bar as a Florida Registered Paralegal since March 2015 and has been a Florida Notary Public since 2012. She is also currently a member of the Florida Bar Family Law section.
Elicia has been working as a Paralegal for Raymond S. Grimm since April, 2011. During this time she has had the opportunity to assist in cases involving criminal law, business litigation, contracts, probate, estate planning, guardianship and a variety of family law matters including adoptions, dissolution, paternity, modifications and child support.
Having personally dealt with the family legal system, and experiencing how scary and confusing it could be, gave Elicia a passion for helping others navigate the legal waters. Her focus currently is on caring for her two young daughters and helping others going through trying legal situations.
